Bridge Street was the focus for the vent with an open market on the street each Sunday leading up to Christmas.  The main streets of the town were well illuminated with the now familiar wall mounted trees and features with white lights. The Britannia Coconutters and the Bradshaw Mummers entertained throughout the celebrations.  There was Carol singing at the Heritage Centre on Carr Street, also entertainment at the Theatre Royal.

A Christmas Walk of 6 miles explored the local Dickens connection and a Christmas Jazz Special was held at Grant Arms with the Smoky City Jazz Band, the entertainment included singer Julie Flynn who sang with the band during its earlier 13 year stint at the Grants.  Other music was performed by Rossendale Valley Sounds.

A Candlelit Carol Singing session rounded off the celebrations.
