On 12th July 2008, Nuttall Park commemorate 80 years of public ownership with an afternoon of entertainment. The official opening of the Park Ranger's Centre was conducted by the Mayor place and the memorial plaque was unveiled by him also. Ramsbottom Heritage Society has been working alongside the Park Ranger Service and Friends of Nuttall Park who organised the event.
